MOBItalks is a personal and professional development series launched fall 2017 in Harlem, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. MOBItalks NYC returns featuring a powerful screening and live talkback event, shedding light on the experiences of Black queer individuals at the intersection of sex, mental health, and culture.

This initiative is peer-led amongst Black gay and queer men from different intersectionalities of age, identity, and backgrounds. We hope to align and bring together our community by creating distinguished experiences at our events while encouraging attendees to live stronger, longer, and healthier.

Featuring: Community Conversations, Free Headshots by LaQuann Dawson, local vendors and partners, and more.

Mobilizing Our Brothers Initiative (MOBI) is furthering it’s mission to amplify the voices of the queer communities of color with the release of MOBItalks - a new digital film series documenting the intersectionalities of LGBTQ life and culture. Framed through the lens of themes including sex, mental health and overall LGBTQ experience, the series consists of three 30 minute short documentaries.
