Joey Harris - Consulting - NYC

Joey Harris is an international industry executive who has worked in the music business for over 20 years at several major record labels, run a top radio station, teaches Music Business at NYU and manages some of the worlds top talent.  He proudly serves as CEO of his own management and consulting firm, Joey Harris Inc. Has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Music Business from New York University.  

Joey’s vast experience includes management, artist development, influencer marketing, A&R, PR, talent booking, strategic marketing, integrated brand partnerships, event producing, focus groups, album release events and general consulting. 

Clients range from Rhythm Nation, The Association, The United Nations, Sony Music, Universal, Republic Records, Birch Street Music, and Beyoncé’s company, Parkwood Entertainment. 

He was also VP & Programming Director for 92.7 Kiss FM in Virginia, where he took the station from #3 to #1 in the market. 

Some of the top artists he has been blessed to work closely with throughout his career include Beyoncé and Janet Jackson, to name a few. 

As a consultant for Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment, his focus was artist development and marketing. 

Currently, Joey is Senior Vice President for Janet Jackson’s entertainment company Rhythm Nation, where his focus is marketing, partnerships and humanitarian efforts. 

Joey manages one of Beyoncé’s first discovered artists, teen pop star Sophie Beem, who he developed with Beyoncé and Parkwood Entertainment. 

He also manages Emmy nominated Hollywood reporter and host of the Today Show Australia, Dean McCarthy, and one of the stars of Ryan Murphy’s Golden Globe nominated show Pose, Actor/Recording Artist Dyllón Burnside. 

As the VP of Entertainment for the Arab Fashion Council and Arab Fashion Week in Dubai, Joey produces events, and books top designers and celebrities for the Council’s spring and fall fashion weeks, award shows, and more. He has secured special appearances at the fashion week for Cardi B, BlameItOnKway and Yo Gotti. Joey booked the AFW host Dean McCarthy and celebrity designer Laquan Smith, who was awarded Best Urban Designer at the Arab Fashion Awards. 

This hard working entrepreneur has also taught at and co-produced the New York University Music Business Program Series “What Makes A Star”. As part of the program, Joey engaged students in focus groups to test records, ideas and to provide valuable feedback for clients, recording artists and major labels.
