Chalvar Monteiro is a performer, model, dance maker, and educator based out of New York. He is currently a dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and an adjunct professor of dance at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Through his work he strives to emphasize identity and community for all people.
